May 7, 2024

The World Water Forum stands as the largest international gathering in the water sector, engaging various stakeholders and co-hosted by the World Water Council and a host city. This significant event, held every three years since 1997, encompasses a comprehensive process, including a three-year preparatory phase, a one-week event phase, and a synthesis phase presenting results alongside ongoing support for collective action.

Drawing participants from diverse backgrounds including politics, multilateral institutions, academia, civil society, and the private sector, among others, the Forum has seen exponential growth, from a few hundred attendees to tens of thousands, representing both the international community and host countries.

From May 18th to 25th, 2024, heads of state, international organization leaders, high-level government officials, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and economists from around the globe will converge to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices on a wide array of water-related topics.
